November Art Stars

Every month students' artwork will be selected to hang in the school's main office, conference room, and the library.  The artwork is selected based on the student's creativity, craftsmanship, and work ethic.  Here are our November Art Stars....

Great Art Books November 2014

Another great read is Flotsam by David Wiesner.  Written as a wordless book with amazing illustrations it easily captures the imagination of the reader.  A bright, science-minded boy goes to the beach equipped to collect and examine flotsam - anything floating that has been washed ashore. Bottles, lost toys, small objects of every description are among his usual finds. But there's no way he could have prepared for one particular discovery: a barnacle-encrusted underwater camera, with its own secrets to share ...and to keep.

Great Art Books October 2014

It's time for another Great Art Book.  This month's book is Fancy Nancy at the Museum by Jane O'Connor.

Nancy's class is going on a trip to the museum. Even after a bumpy bus ride, Nancy finds a way to make the day extra-fancy!
